Bob Ball started his franchise consultant company in 1998
Prior to this he had a long and distinguished career serving major corporations in manufacturing, distributorships and franchising operations.
This experience included service as: Vice President of Century 21 Real Estate Corporation (NYSE) at their international headquarters in Irvine, California; Corporate Legal and Insurance Manager for Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc. at their national offices in Torrance, California; and as the executive in charge of dealer relations and litigation for Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc.(NYSE) in Riverside, California.
At those times, each of the companies was the largest in the world in their chosen fields.
While his positions have been largely focused on franchising, franchise system development and franchisor documentation, registration and compliance matters, he also directed the development of dealer and distribution agreements for Toyota, a multimillion dollar repurchase of a subfranchisor for Century 21 and multiple other instances of the sale and purchase of corporate entities or assets.
Rather than retire, Mr.Ball decided to keep in contact with the industry he enjoyed so much, and to make use of his experience in relieving franchising executives of one of the most exasperating annual tasks ever devised by man -- the yearly updating of Franchise Disclosure Documents with the latest data on franchisee sales, closings and other voluminous and fascinating details. That task just so happens to coincide with the annual wrestling match with accountants in trying to compose the year end audited financials. His system is just complicated enough to keep him busy, while making the process a painless experience for the franchising CEO.
